When you work with blocks with media, you may want to hide the images to create a unique layout. You have two options for doing this.
The first option is to interact with the image itself:
- Click the image to call out its control pane.
- Click the Hide button. You will be taken to the Layout tab of Block settings, where you can hide or bring back more block elements.
- Click Save (or click anywhere on the empty field) to submit the change.
The second way to remove the image from the block is by going directly to the Block settings:
- Hover over your target block and click the gear icon on its control pane.
- In the Layout tab, find the Block elements section and untick the checkboxes of the elements you want to hide.
- Click Save to submit.
Note: The Hide Media feature is not available in the blocks where showing images is the main purpose of the block, like Galleries, some Headline block layouts, etc.
When using certain Headline, Products, and About Us block layouts, you might want to hide the overlaying media they contain. To do this, click the overlaying image and then click the Hide button on its control pane.
