Before diving into the website customization process, you need to take some important steps described in this article.
Site Setup Wizard
Once you’ve signed up, you will be taken to the Site Setup Wizard, our onboarding helper. You will fill in the basic information about your website so that later you can fully concentrate on customizing it.
You can skip onboarding or skip a step by clicking the respective button.
Step 1. Choose a template
Our templates are filled with default content like images and text pieces. All this content is changeable, yet choosing a template that caters to your business may be handy. We grouped all templates into categories for your convenience.
Once you click a template, you can see it full-scale. Preview it on various devices by clicking the respective button. You can return to the Template Gallery to choose a different template by clicking Back in the top-left corner.
Find more tips on picking a perfect template in our guide Choosing the right template.
Note: After choosing the template, you will see a welcome page. Click Continue to proceed with the onboarding or skip it by pressing the Skip onboarding button.
Step 2. Enter the website name
At this step, you can enter your website name. Type in your website name into the respective field and click Continue.
Step 3. Enter your business details.
The only essential field you need to enter at this step is your business email address. However, filling in all the forms will help you preset some template elements.
Once you’re done entering your business details, click Finish setup in the bottom of the page.
After completing the above steps, you will be redirected to the Sitebuilder.
Your new site has a basic layout: header, several content blocks with demo images and placeholder text, and a footer. Now you can fully concentrate on adding your own content and additional blocks if needed.
Sitebuilder for mobile
You can build your website on any device, such as a smartphone or a tablet, and you do not need a specific app for this. Start by opening your account in your device’s browser, and you will access the Sitebuilder immediately.
